About GCAS:
The National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) plays a crucial role in endorsing the integration of technology into the education framework. Aligned with the Digital India initiative, the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat has promoted the incorporation of Information Technology in the education sector.
The Gujarat Common Admission Service (GCAS) is a visionary portal launched by the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat to streamline the admission registration process across various disciplines offered by the Government Universities within the state of Gujarat. This portal serves as the State Government’s Common Admission portal encompassing all the disciplines such as arts, commerce, science, rural studies, and others under a single umbrella.
GCAS is a one-stop solution for all Government Universities, Higher Education Institutes, Government Colleges, Grant-In-Aid Colleges, and SFIs affiliated with Public Universities across the state of Gujarat. This comprehensive portal is strategically crafted to simplify the admission procedure, consolidating all requisite information and services to facilitate a seamless experience for the students of Gujarat.

રાષ્ટ્રીય શિક્ષણ નીતિ-2020 (એનઇપી-2020) શિક્ષણના માળખામાં ટેકનોલોજીના સંકલનને સમર્થન આપવામાં મહત્ત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવે છે. ડિજિટલ ઇન્ડિયાની પહેલ સાથે સાંકળીને ગુજરાત સરકારના શિક્ષણ વિભાગે શિક્ષણ ક્ષેત્રે ઇન્ફર્મેશન ટેકનોલોજીના સમાવેશને પ્રોત્સાહન આપ્યું છે.
ગુજરાત કોમન એડમિશન સર્વિસ (જીસીએસ) એ ગુજરાત સરકારના શિક્ષણ વિભાગ દ્વારા ગુજરાત રાજ્યની અંદર આવતી સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીઓ દ્વારા આપવામાં આવતી વિવિધ શાખાઓમાં પ્રવેશ નોંધણી પ્રક્રિયાને સુવ્યવસ્થિત કરવા માટે શરૂ કરવામાં આવેલું એક સ્વપ્નદ્રષ્ટા પોર્ટલ છે. આ પોર્ટલ રાજ્ય સરકારના કોમન એડમિશન પોર્ટલ તરીકે સેવા આપે છે, જેમાં એક જ છત્ર હેઠળ આર્ટસ, કોમર્સ,સાયન્સ, ગ્રામીણ અભ્યાસ અને અન્ય જેવી તમામ શાખાઓનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
જી.સી.એ.એસ. એ ગુજરાત રાજ્યભરની જાહેર યુનિવર્સિટીઓ સાથે જોડાયેલી તમામ સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીઓ, ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણ સંસ્થાઓ,સરકારી કોલેજો, ગ્રાન્ટ-ઇન-એઇડ કોલેજો અને સ્વ-નિર્ભર કોલેજો માટે વન-સ્ટોપ સોલ્યુશન છે. આ સર્વગ્રાહી પોર્ટલ વ્યૂહાત્મક રીતે પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયાને સરળ બનાવવા માટે તૈયાર કરવામાં આવ્યું છે, જેમાં ગુજરાતના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે અવિરત અનુભવની સુવિધા માટે તમામ જરૂરી માહિતી અને સેવાઓને એકત્રિત કરવામાં આવી છે.
